For these contract services, we’ll follow a competitive tendering process, which includes: Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI); prequalification; Request for Proposal (RFP); tender evaluation; and award of contract. Contracts may be advertised publicly.

 


Contracts under $250,000 per year

 

  • Rebuild services, e.g. radiators, coolers, alternators, starters, hydraulic pumps, water pumps, small engines, electric motors
  • Tire repair
  • Fire suppression systems, fire extinguisher filling and maintenance
  • Laundry services for bedding, towels, coveralls and work clothes
  • Core box and exploration stake manufacture
  • Radio equipment supply, service and parts
  • Expediting

 

We’ll obtain competitive quote for these contracts from interested and qualified service providers.

 


Labour contracts (individuals or smaller companies)

 

  • Mill shutdown services (over $250,000 per year) – 20-30 trades for each mill shutdown. There are up to 4 shutdowns per year.
  • Warehouse operations (less than $250,000 per year) – 6 warehouse receivers 3-4 months per year during sealift period.
